Praeclarus Breakfast Club – Programming Guidelines
1. Thirty days ahead of your month, contact the Program Chair. Let her know what you’re planning for the Month’s Agenda. If you need assistance finding a speaker for your Friday speaker dates, let the Program Chair know well in advance, so she can help you.
Regarding program topics:
When planning programs, consider topics that are related to current business topics, our community, authors, or events that are relevant and of interest to our members. If you choose a political topic, be certain to always schedule the opposition and/or other candidates, within the same month or following.
Remember the first Friday of each month is generally a Member’s Only business meeting. Do not invite an outside speaker for this meeting, unless you have prearranged with the Program Chair. A program for this meeting ought to be a presentation by a member’s business or interests. If you don’t have a particular member speaking, plan a group discussion topic. The topic can be focused at a business or personal interest topic.
2. At least 1 week before your month begins:
a. Submit all your Program Agenda details on the submit events form. FILL IN the Form Fields with requested information. It’s important for member use later on.
b. Announce the overview of your Agenda at the last breakfast meeting month before or in an email.
c. If your speaker needs AV equipment… A WEEK IN ADVANCE contact Program Chair:eva@evaarchersmith.com, (713) 854-0752
We need to know… If they be using a PC or MAC. An HDMI plug-in or HDMI adapter is required.
3. Items to communicate with your speaker about:
a. Ask your speaker to provide a brief bio for introduction. Plan to introduce each of your speakers or arrange for another member do so. Let the Club President know who will be introducing the Speaker, in advance.
b. Inform your speaker, in advance, of the TIME LIMIT for his/her presentation. Thirty minutes total: approx 20-25 minutes for main presentation and a minimum of 5 minutes for questions at the end.
c. Ask your speaker to bring ample business cards and information for distribution (approx. 25+ qty).
d. Provide your speaker with a LINK to www.preaclarus.org to learn about our members.
e. After their presentation, send a “Thank You” note to your speaker. Email or hand written if you prefer.
Thank you, for your efforts to make Praeclarus meetings interesting and rewarding.
