Natalie Allen, EdD, Community Relations Specialist, OpenStax

OpenStax is a part of Rice University. Their mission is to transform learning so that education works for every student. They publish high-quality, peer-reviewed, openly licensed college textbooks that are absolutely free online and low cost in print. They’ve also developed a low-cost, research-based courseware that gives students the tools they need to complete their course the first time around, and a new online math homework system with step-level feedback.

Natalie has been a lifelong learner and educator and has recently joined the ranks of OpenStax as their Community Relations Specialist. She is tasked with connecting educators with OpenStax resources to help lower the costs of college textbooks, making a quality education accessible and equitable for all students.
